How Does the Online Reservation System Work?

By using our secure online reservation system your reservation is booked with this easy step process.  Online reservations receive booking priority.  By completing the payment process of your reservation you reservation is confirmed and secured.  You are given a 3 day grace period to cancel the reservation before we charge your credit card for the deposit.

What if I need to cancel my reservation after the three day grace period?

If you cancel within 3 days of first making your booking we have not yet charged your credit card so there is no need for refunds.  If you cancel after your deposit has been charged and with a 72 hour notice before your reservation date, we are happy to offer a full deposit refund less a $25.00 fee to cover processing costs.  In most cases your deposit less the $25.00 fee will be returned to the credit card you used.  In some cases we may need to mail you a check.  We will communicate with you throughout the refund process.
 

What if I need to cancel my reservation after the 72 hour cancellation deadline?

If we are able to rebook the room we are happy to offer a full deposit refund less a $25.00 fee to cover processing costs.  In most cases your deposit less the $25.00 fee will be returned to the credit card you used.  In some cases we may need to mail you a check.  We will communicate with you throughout the refund process.
 

Can I request early check-in or late check-out?

No, we give our current guests the full check out time of 11:00 am and then we need sufficient time to prepare the rooms.  We do however offer you a place to store your luggage and use of the Great Room between 11:00 am and 4:00 pm after our other guests have left.  Please let us know if you need either of these conveniences.
 

Can I bring my pet or I have allergies?

No, due to allergies of many we keep our rooms pet free.  We do have Schnauzer's but they live on the bottom floor a non guest area.
 

Do your rooms have black out curtains?

No, all windows are covered with curtains and/or blinds but they are not black out styled.
 

Does my reservation include breakfast?

Yes, reservations include a simple continental breakfast of juice and tea, coffee and english muffin.  You also have use of our fully stocked kitchen.
 

Do you recommend any specific activities, restaurants or sites?

Yes, follow "this link" to go to our "About Town" page which features our most current recommendations.

What credit cards do you accept?

We accept Visa, MasterCard and Discover.

What if I don't want to pay by credit card?
We also accept cash and personal checks.  A credit card is necessary for the online reservation process, but if you email or call us to say you want to mail a check we will not charge your credit card for the deposit. 

If you don't have a credit card to use with our online reservation system you can email us a reservation request.  Keep in mind that online reservations receive priority.

When is the balance of my reservation due?
At check-in.  This allows you to enjoy your stay without wondering when to find us to pay, and you can leave on your departure date at any time without trying to locate us.

What options do I have for paying the balance of my stay?
We accept Visa/MasterCard/Discover, Cash, Personal Check or Traveler Check.

How long have you been in business?
Can it really be that long?... we built Falls Inn and opened our home to visitors in 1997 and have enjoyed meeting all the wonderful people from around the world.
 

What is your smoking policy?
The inside of our facility is completely smoke free but guests are able to smoke on their balconies or outside.  Balconies are on opposite sides of the building so there is no way for another guests smoke to enter your windows.  And we find that our guests who smoke are very respectful and always only smoke in the designated areas.

Where are you located in relation to town?
Falls Inn is within walking distance to the Small Boat Harbor, Restaurants, and Shopping; and we are less than a 1/2 mile from Downtown Seward and the SeaLife Center.  The town Trolley picks up half a block away or Taxi's can arrive within minutes of a call.

How do we get there?
Here is a Google Map Link you can print out which takes you from the Anchorage Intl' Airport to Falls Inn in Seward. There is one error, at the end where it says to turn left on Van Buren when you reach 2nd Ave... do not... look straight ahead as Falls Inn is in front of you across the street.

Is your facility handicapped available?
Unfortunately No, both our suites are on the 3rd floor of the building which accounts for the great views and stairs are the only access.  We do assist with luggage if needed.
